I am away from my recording gear, so this video is a little unusual. I toured the St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valetta, Malta today.
The song, Ave Crux Alba, is the anthem of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, but I cannot find anyone singing it (just the music):
I’ve made up the melody, but I believe the Hospitaller Knights were known to sing in Gregorian style.
Recorded into my iPad in my hotel bathroom.
I also didn’t have my video editing software, so was surprised that it only took an hour or so to learn the open-source Linux video editing tool, Shotcut.
Detail on the Cathedral here:’s_Co-Cathedral
Having seen a few cathedral’s in Rome, this one was incredible.
