“In the little village of Scieci, near Florence, the hat-makers work - outside their houses.“ Lovely shot of a group of women plaiting straw for hats. Some stitch the plaits together. Some stand and some sit, one very young girl works in the foreground. Dissolve into a M/S of the women working. “Their material is a thick grass - plaited.“ C/U of a woman’s hands as she rapidly plaits the straw.
