Szemlő-hegyi-barlang Budapest föld alatti virágoskertje

A Szemlő-hegyi-barlangot szokták Budapest „föld alatti virágoskertjének” is nevezni. A falait vastag paplanként borító ásványkiválások: borsókövek, kalcitlemezek, karfiolok változatos formáit csodálhatjuk meg az 500 méter hosszú, kiépített túraútvonalon. A barlang magas páratartalmú, pormentes és állandó hőmérsékletű levegője kedvező hatással van a bronchitises, asztmás betegekre, ezért 1990 óta gyógyterápiás célokat is szolgál. A barlangban egész évben 12 °C fok a hőmérséklet, nyáron ezért érdemes kissé melegebben felöltözni. A kiépített szakasz utcai viseletben, kényelmes cipőben, segítővel kerekesszékkel, illetve babakocsival is látogatható. A belépőjeggyel 3D barlangos film tekinthető meg! The temperature of the cave is 12 Celsius degrees (54 Fahrenheit) all year-round, so in summer time you should dress up warmer. The established route can be visited in casual clothes. Wearing comfortable hiking shoes is recommended. The Szemlő-hegy cave is just one among many of the area’s caves, which were created differently from the cold-water caves such as the famous Baradla cave of the Aggtelek Karst.
