Aquatic Gala - Cardiff. Wales. Opens w/ swimming race: swimmers approaching camera doing the crawl. Next a sort of silly slapstick sport: man in old-fashioned swimsuit steps sideways on a pole out over the water; trying to balance. He gets several steps in before he falls backward into water. Another guy tries; falls right away; and a 3rd gets about as far as the 1st before tumbling over. Finally shot of high dive platform. The diver stands straight w/ arms raised; falls forward in this position and turns this into a dive. Next; a woman performs a running dive; w/ back arched in mid air; like a swan dive.
