Alek Petuk, Anna Pronina — How to Move Stones (teaser, 2020)

How to Move Stones is a part of the project “Explosive Jelly“ curated by Lera Kononchuk and is related to the novel “Mr. Hexogen“ by Alexander Prokhanov. The novel was published in 2002 and served as a legitimization for the then young Putin regime, as well as for the terrorist acts of the late 20th century in Russia. According to the text, the new political Chosen One came to power by means of inhuman mystical forces. The video essay was created by the re-cutting technique with footage from games, interviews, films, TV programs and music videos released in the last 20 years.
