From the first days of the Great Patriotic War, the Nazis began to carry out their plan to destroy the civilian population in the occupied territories. With German pedantry, a policy of genocide was launched. These were the Einsatz-groups also referred to as “death squads“. Group B operated in the territory of Belarus, it moved behind the Army Group Center and cleared the occupied territory of people who resisted the occupation regime. They were actively assisted by the policemen, who knew the local population very well and for a few marks gave up their acquaintances, neighbors and even relatives.
