Doug and Lynn Kaines are a happily married couple whose visit to Mexico turns into a nightmare. As they are driving home, Lynn hits a Mexican police officer, killing him. Rather than report the crime, the couple flee the scene. They seem to have escaped judgment — until a mysterious man, Jack Shell, shows up on their doorstep.
