In 1993 Sydney Beatles tribute group The Beatnix performed Getting Better live-to-air on the Midday show on TCN9 in Sydney. The musicians performing as The Beatnix on this track were Bruce Coble (myself, as “John“), Steven Shipley (as “Paul“), Marcus Phelan (as “George“) & John Taylor (as “Ringo“). This one is quite a difficult number for the “Paul“ part, & Steven Shipley showed what a professional he was with this number, taken from the classic album Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
