Anti-India rallies attract protesters in cities across Canada

Protests took place in front of Indian consulates in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. Some members of the Sikh community are calling for justice and a public inquiry into the death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, president of Surrey’s Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara. Nijjar had been advocating for an independent Sikh homeland.
