Gilmour Theory: Ep 16 | EMG DG20 good for ALL Pink Floyd songs?

Can EMG DG20 get a correct tone for all Pink Floyd songs? Gilmour switched to active EMG SA pickups during the 80s to avoid hum and other bad noises in his live shows. Later, he started to use them also to characterize his tones on the last Pink Floyd records. Normally, EMG DG20 don’t fit completely in your guitar body. In fact, it needs to be deeper to let them go down until the pickguard. This modification is ESSENTIAL to get closer to his tones with these pickups, otherwise they will sound very different. Even with this modification (as I did too) in many cases they still sound different from classic passive pickups. So this is why I ask to you the main question above. To me, it is very reductive to say that you can play The Wall from 1979 with EMG instead of SSL5 or CS69 or FAT50 or 57/62 pickups. My experience is to have both if you really love the tones and if you REALLY understand the difference between them. Because in the end, they are just songs. If you don’t care about the tone, no one stops you to play them with P90 pickups.
