Chinese Icebreaker Xuelong Collides With Iceberg in Antarctica
Chinese research icebreaker Xuelong (Snow Dragon) on Saturday collided with iceberg at the Amundsen Sea during its 35th Antarctic expedition.
A video clip by China Central Television (CCTV) shows that after the collision, the deck of the icebreaker is piled up with snow and ice of about 400 cubic meters and weighing 250 tons. The mast on the bow was broken.
