Wellingborough and Kingswood by-elections: Labour inflicts double defeat on Sunak
Rishi Sunak has suffered a double by-election defeat at the hands of Labour on a night that will raise further questions about his leadership of the Tories.
The Conservatives meekly surrendered sizable majorities in Wellingborough and Kingswood as their former voters stayed at home in their droves.
It means the party has surpassed its own record for the number of by-election defeats in a Parliament, with the Prime Minister overseeing six losses in a row.
