The upwelling season is in full force here in Monterey. Cooler temperatures bring different species back to the bay. We encountered the enormous mixed species group of Pacific White-sided Dolphins and Northern Right Whale Dolphins out in the submarine canyon. As we followed them, some Humpback Whales joined in as they all fed. We had an opportunity to capture some GoPro footage with a pole camera and troll behind set up revealing some awesome shots of both species. Video by Katlyn Taylor.
