Rusty Gigantic Scissors 1900s Restoration - You won’t believe the result

Restoring an ottoman scissors from 1900. I found a very old but beautiful ottoman scissors on the internet. I immediately bought it and restored it. First of all, the scissors were disassembled. Then I removed the padding on the handle of the scissors. Since the scissors were quite rusty, they were sandblasted. I wanted to harden the metal of the scissors. That’s why I gave the scissors heated and then cooled in the oil. The process was successful because a black layer (slag) formed. Then I sanded the surface and polished it to a high gloss. The handle of the scissors was covered with leather. The scissors look like new. Now she can survive against 100 years.
