Sony TC-WE435 Cassette Deck Belt Replacement

This video wasn’t in my plans, but sometimes things break and I see a video opportunity. Here, I tear down, repair, and reassemble the Sony TC-WE435 cassette deck that I bought new from Best Buy in 2001. (You know you’re getting old when electronics you bought new need new belts.) I purchased my belt kit from . It looks like Sony models TC-WE425, 525, and 635 use the same belts, and although I don’t know if the teardown procedure is the same, it should be pretty similar. There are a lot of unused spaces on the circuit board, so I suspect the higher models just add some extra features to the same basic chassis.
