The Wired article was released this morning, detailing how two ’hackers’ discovered and manipulated a vulnerability in some Uconnect systems allowing them to wirelessly take over the vehicle. Needless to say this ain’t good and Chrysler released a patch that fixes this er, technicality.
We show you how to install this patch.
So your Uconnect might get hacked? Follow these instructions to update your system with the latest Chrysler Security Patch!
1. Write down your VIN. I use my insurance card since Progressive prints it right on the card.
2. You’ll need a USB flash drive (Chrysler recommends at least 4gb).
