Demo-Oud/Guitar Hybrid

This demo is of the 4-course Oud/guitar I’ve created by modifying a 3/4 size vintage Suzuki classical guitar. I’ve removed the frets and filled the fret grooves for a smooth neck, adding dots to help with finger placement. I also added two more tuners to the head to allow for the eight strings, arranged in four pairs of unison strings. I have it tuned (low to high) GDGC, but other slightly different tunings would be fine without changing strings. I’m using a traditional risha Oud plectrum. UPDATE March 31, 2024 - with all the positive attention, views, and comments (thank you, everyone!), I sold this particular instrument through my HappyUkulelesByKarl Etsy shop.
