NSW Drone Shark Detection

NSW DPI is trialling the effectiveness of drones to detect sharks as part of the $16m Shark Management Strategy. As part of the five-year NSW Shark Management Strategy, drones have been trialled in NSW in partnership with Surf Life Saving NSW. This video shows a snapshot of the results of drone surveillance trials in NSW between July 2018 and June 2019.
