This song is the 20th track from “Something to Sing About“. It’s one of the tracks that were specially recorded for its release, and the only song sung by the producer himself.
Milt Okun is a successful record producer and arranger, and unbeknownst to most, a folksinger in the Folk Revival Era. He produced all of John Denver’s RCA albums, and has also produced for Harry Belafonte, Peter Paul and Mary, The Chad Mitchell Trio, The Brothers Four, Tom Paxton, Roger Miller, and even Plácido Domingo.
“Hush, Little Baby“ is an old folk song, possibly the most famous lullaby in the whole world. It is believed that the song was written in the 1880’s.
