Newfoundland, Canada. Introductory intertitle reads: “Come with us on the good ship ’Morrissey’, in company with Capt. ’Bob’ Bartlett (who accompanied Peary to the Pole) on perilous journey to Arctic Regions, calling first at Newfoundland.“ Various shots on board the “Morrissey“ - view of another ship (or possibly the “Morrissey“ viewed from another boat), men (and a woman?) standing on deck as the ship approaches shore. Crowds wait on the quayside. Crazy Bob Bartlett speaks to camera whilst hanging on to some of the ship’s rigging. He announces they have arrived from New York and he has chosen this little port as a stopping off place as he and his crew hail from there. It is Captain Bob Bartlett’s birthplace.
