Did AMD KILL The Zen 3 Refresh? AMD Ryzen 6000 / Warhol Cancelled To Focus On Zen 4 ? AMDs Zen 3 processors, which were a modest refresh of zen 3 might be cancelled according to information I have received. Their Warhol series of CPUs (Ryzen 6000) was apparently set to release Q4 2021, and would offer a 3 - 10 percent bump in performance (5 - 7 percent being average) and a small clock frequency bump. But because of the current market conditions AMD is apparently considering not launching Zen 3 , and instead of Warhol being Ryzen 6000, AMD would focus their attentions on Zen 4 for launch in 2022. Zen 4 brings a large bump in IPC, DDR5 memory and other major improvements. IF this information is true regarding AMD Warhol, it would lead to some very interesting questions on how the market would shake up versus Intel’s Alder Lake Architecture.
