If a game ’gets good’ after 100 hours it either means: - the game systems take 100 hours to become refined enough to be enjoyable - The game fundamentally changes to an objectively better experience or - they need 100 hours of set up and content to be interesting If you are forcing players to slog through 100’s of hours of inferior product to ’get to the good bit’, you’re designing things wrong.
