Punk Media Research Collection: “This post goes up in memory of the great Jimmy Wilsey who was the original bass player in the Avengers as well as guitar player in Silvertone with Chris Isaak. In the late 1990’s he put together an instrumental band in Los Angeles that quickly morphed into a punk rock super group. The band also featured Dez Cadena from Black Flag on guitar and Nickey Beat from the Weirdos on drums. This video shot on Saturday Feb 12, 2000 at Al’s Bar (if you’ve been there you understand why it is so dark) was the last time we saw the band perform live.“
