VIDEO INFO: With that mahogany face suppressing any hint of a smirk or tongue in a cheek, we are treated to a rare outing of the iconic early Velvet Underground single from 1967, re-sculptured without being murdered. This performance was recorded live on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ at the Ed Sullivan Theatre NYC; 27 February 2004 … and in the foreground what surely must have been the inspiration for Noel Gallagher’s on-stage hairdresser!
