Saving Multi Cracked Tooth

The patient had an old filling for many years and recently had pain when biting down. The pain was periodic and would only occur when chewing a certain way. When the old filling was removed, multiple cracks were found. A tooth color bonded restoration temporarily restored the tooth so there was no pain when chewing. The patient needs to get a crown to hold the tooth together or the bonded restoration will fail and they will lose the tooth. Other alternatives are extraction with a replacement of an implant,
