Woodturning - Erosion

In this video I turn a carved vessel from a Cherry log .. I had to change the plan on this piece after finding numerous cracks, which normally wouldn’t bother me but these cracks I found pretty characterless and the wood was pretty bland. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to try some carving loosely based on rock erosion seen on some coast lines .. I think it turned out pretty cool, but will definitely try it on a better piece of wood next time .. My website , shop and social media links..
