On September 18, 2022, Tragedy struck at the Reno National Air Races during the Gold Jet race. Aaron Hogue’s Aero L-29 Super Delfin drifted off of the course at pylon 4, rolled half inverted, semi- recovered, then lost altitude and impacted the desert floor. Aaron Hogue, 61, Rookie of the Year in 2021, was killed on impact. My heart goes out to Aaron’s family and friends.
