Learn How to Draw and Paint DEER IN WINTER - Paint and Sip at Home - Fun Beginner Acrylic Lesson
PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – Looking for an easy winter painting idea? Want to do a fun seasonal DIY project? Let me be your acrylic art instructor as I teach you easy step-by-step instructions throughout this fun beginner art video as you learn how to paint a white-tailed deer in a winter forest—a beautiful animal and scenery painting “DEER IN WINTER” with acrylic paint. I live in the middle of the woods on top of a mountain, and, although I don’t have any close neighbors, I do get a lot of frequent visitors, not from friends or family, but rather from the local wildlife. My trail cameras are busy taking video of bears, foxes, coyotes, racoons, skunks, squirrels, moose, groundhogs and chipmunks, meandering around my yard, most often trying to find a way to get into the garbage in my garage. Ducks, frogs, turtles, cranes and wild turkeys enjoy making my pond their own little oasis, the birds seem grateful for the dozen bird feeders I have hanging off my back porch, and so many deer, bucks, fawn, cervine, and doe, enjoy grazing on my berry bushes and fruit trees just out my kitchen window. Being alone in the woods is never lonely for sure with this many critters roaming around! What amazes me the most about deer is how their coat changes color with the seasons. In the summer, the deer’s coats appear reddish and are thin, allowing the deer to better cope with the high heat. In the fall, the deer eat every day and begin to bulk up and stock up on fat stores for the winter and they grow a ticker and darker grey and brown coat which helps them to absorb more of the sun’s heat to warm themselves even more and blend into the autumn or winter forest. So, for all you nature lovers, come join me and paint this beautiful buck in a wintery pine forest. In the first step to this acrylic art lesson, you’ll learn how to paint a sky and land using soft gray colors in order to capture the majestic beauty of the winter season. Then you’ll learn how to paint snow on the ground using a simple blending technique. Then you’ll paint evergreen pine trees in two easy steps; first by using a base coat of black to create triangle silhouette and second, by adding gray and white to create an illusion of snow on the branches. After learning how to draw a deer using a simple dot-to-dot drawing method, you’ll apply a simple base coat of brown to work off of. Next, you’ll add highlights and shadows to the antlers to create form and dimension, followed by learning how to paint facial features on a deer, including, the eye, nose, mouth and ears. Then you’ll paint fur by layering colors to create texture. The art lesson is so easy to follow, you’ll feel like it’s a paint by numbers. Using only 2 brushes and 5 colors, you’ll paint like a professional and create the best winter animal portrait! Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun, as a fun hobby, or for art therapy. It’s an easy art project for anyone. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let’s get painting and let’s get sipping!
