Calliope Mori - I’m Greedy (Metal Remix)

If I’m gonna be totally real here, I kinda... don’t know how to feel about Calli’s newest song. Most of her music thus far has been alternative rap that I’ve vibed pretty hard with, so to see her go for a trap beat was certainly unexpected. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of this specific style -- that’s not to say there isn’t trap music I like (Industry Baby and Humble are two of my favorite songs), but usually those songs have a good amount of energy behind them, and this one sorta doesn’t, at least not to me. That being said, Calli herself goes hard as a year-old block of cheese as far as her performance/flow is concerned, especially at the end of the first verse. It fits the beat well, I must say. This was probably one of my more difficult remixes to write. Trying to translate a trap beat into a metal one is more challenging than it sounds.
