Early on, Jack confessed to his parents that he was gay and they supported him. He had never had a romantic relationship or a love interest before. When meeting Ryan, he has bandages over his eyes, and he can’t see anything because he was in an accident (the plane crashed on the beach where he was). He doesn’t know if he’ll ever see it again, and he’s suffering because of it. RAYANE: moves from Paris, where he used to live with his parents until his mother disappeared, to his uncle’s house. He goes to the same school as Jack and doesn’t make a good impression. He belittles others, is rude to teachers, and barely attends classes.
