Atmospheric Lensing Debunked - Flat Earth Falsities

One of the many excuses flat earthers have for the common observation that buildings and boats appear hidden at the bottom behind the horizon, is an affect they call “atmospheric lensing“. I will show reasons why atmospheric lensing absolutely cannot work the way that they assert. Light does bend in earth’s atmosphere, called a superior mirage, or looming, but this causes objects to appear higher, not lower. Refraction normally occurs in the wrong direction to do what flat earthers need it to do. And not only that, but also the fact that objects at different distances disappear behind the same horizon line, makes the flat earth claim impossible, as I will show. Only a curved earth properly explains observed horizon effects.
