2D animation in Maya - Dr. Wellington - cute robot

DR. Wellington is a clever scientist who is flawed by overlooking the obvious, and this cute little robot travels the universe without ever seeing its dangers. This was animated in Maya using flat polygons to create a 2D aesthetic. I love the hand drawn look of 2D animation and have been working on techniques to achieve that look in 3D.
