Community Partnership Building to meet outcomes of Progressive Realization of the Right to Housing

Speaker: Cheryll Case, is the Founder and Executive Director of CP Planning, a Toronto-based non-profit organization defining the practice of a human rights-based approach to urban planning. This includes the co-design and implementation of neighbourhood, city, and nation-wide planning strategies that have aligned for public, non-profit, and private sector organizations to invest millions of dollars into community-led solutions that uphold the economic, social, and cultural rights of marginalized people to have access to good housing, good jobs, and an adequate standard of living. Her impact is recognized in her honour as the University of Toronto’s inaugural Early Career Canadian Urban Leader in 2022, in addition to recognitions from the Azure Magazine, Spacing Magazine, and the Jamaican Canadian Association.
