Actual Zeppelin Crash! Aka Hindenburg Airship Disaster, 1937 (1937)
Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown.
New York, United States of America (USA).
Nice shots of the German airship Hindenburg flying over New York (the Swastikas on her tail fin are clearly visible). Ground shots of the airship passing overhead. The airship flies over the landing ground at Lakehurst, New Jersey. The airship can be seen ditching ballast. The landing lines are dropped and then an explosion is heard. Shots of the Hindenburg on fire. Good shots as the flaming airship falls to the ground. (Natural sound as the airship falls to the ground rather than the well known radio commentary). People go up to look at the blazing ruins of the mighty airship. Pan along the now twisted and burnt body of the craft. The accident happened on May 6 1937.
(Alternate spelling for search - Hindenberg)
