Fashion, food and music from young band ‘The Frames’ in Temple Bar an emerging area in Dublin city centre.
‘Jo-Maxi’ reporter Niamh Walsh gets a fashion makeover at the ‘Keller Cabaret’, a shop celebrating the fashion of the 50s and 60s, and shoe shop Dv8. She also gets some fashion advice from two young Dublin punks.
Claddagh Records, is Dublin’s folk music specialist record shop. The visit also takes in the Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, which is home to 36 artists from photographer and print-makers, to sculptors and painters. Artist Deirdre Carr who talks about the merits of working in a studio shared with other artists. The report also shows some of the mural artwork around Temple Bar.
In the Temple Bar Studios, bands rehearse and record including ‘Rollerskate Skinny’ and ‘The Frames’.
