Chinese manned submersible conducts first dives in Atlantic

For more: Jiaolong, China’s deep-sea manned submersible, completed its first dives in the Atlantic Ocean. By February 23, Jiaolong had made 23 successful dives in the southern Atlantic, exploring multiple hydrothermal zones. It collected approximately 300 geological and biological samples, along with 4 terabytes of environmental data and visual materials.
