Until now, Kudo competitions (in Japan) for adult men have been held in two categories, “Adults“ and “Seniors“. The minimum age requirement to participate in the “Senior“ category is 35 years old. This category was mainly for those who started Kudo after the age of 30. However, in recent years, as Kudo has grown over the years, there have been people who don’t have the ability to compete in the Adult category but, at the same time, are too strong to compete in the Senior category. Or there are those who, due to illness or other reasons, “I can’t fight in tournaments, but I can still fight one match, and I want to do that.“ “Masters“ is a newly established category for such people. I believe that this category has great potential to contribute to the further promotion and development of Kudo in the future. Let’s keep an eye on the future.
