It must be lived.
-
Even though I’ve only read the first two books of TBC, and only own the second, Bristlefrost has become one of my all-time favourite warriors characters. She’s young, and is manipulated to the point where her morality grays, and she has to question her own actions. And, once she makes the choice to stand up to the rules she once lived by, she is one of the most driven and proactive protagonists.
When she meets her end, drowning in a literal manifestation of despair, her soul doesn’t falter. She looks death in the eyes and sees only love. Feels only warmth.
What a beautiful view indeed.
