Around 400 people came to the city centre of Avdiivka (where approx. 35,000 people live) in the Ukraine-controlled part of the Donetsk region, to protest against establishing a new checkpoint within the city fearing more escalation in the region where the ongoing war has already claimed more than 7,000 in the last year.
