Follow ► The Inspiration behind this video: Significant details regarding The Super Mario Bros. Movie have been kept under wraps as the film’s April 5 release date nears. However, early trailers have shown both Luigi and Mario will be inadvertently sucked through a portal, transporting them to a new world. Unfortunately, the two are somehow separated during the journey, with Luigi finding himself in a far darker place than Mario. Although it appears that Luigi will likely be separated from Mario for the bulk of the film, he will not be insignificant to the story. Much of Bowser’s scenes will undoubtedly be with Luigi, using him as a way to show the king’s character motivations, delivering vital exposition for his part of the story. While Mario is introduced to the Mushroom Kingdom and trains with his new allies to take on the impending threat, Luigi has an opportunity to learn about Bowser and his army, deciphering their weaknesses to assist his brother during their potential reunion.
