UK Defence Secretary says he’s unaware of genocidal comments made by Israeli Ministers

Grant Shapps, UK Secretary of State for Defence, responded to Mishal Husain during a BBC Radio 4 Today interview about genocidal quotes by Israeli Ministers and top politicians, saying, “I had not heard those sorts of comments from Ministers.“ Husain questioned whether it was acceptable for an Israeli spokesman to claim “the focus is on creating damage, not on precision,” and for the finance minister to label all Palestinians as Nazis, or for the Jerusalem Affairs minister to state that there are no noncombatants in Gaza. Shapps replied that he was previously unaware of these comments but found them unacceptable, adding that Israel has the right to self-defence and to go after Hamas.
