Abstract: Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for esophageal carcinoma is difficult because of its thin wall thickness, small diameter, and movement from the adjacent heartbeat. A small-caliber-tip transparent hood was applied to esophageal ESD with a flex knife so that it was easier to control the knife during ESD and any complications such as severe bleeding and perforation could be obviated.
