Anti-lockdown protesters stage a protest against the extended COVID-19 lockdown in Stuttgart on Saturday, April 17. Germany is currently facing a third wave of coronavirus infections, with lockdown being in place at least until May 9 in a bid to curb community spread of COVID-19. As of Friday, a night curfew has been imposed in Stuttgart, with a population of about 650,000, as the incidence rate surpassed 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants for three consecutive days.
