C/Us of a middle aged woman spinning glass. “Fine as human hair, soft as silk, but just glass,“ said Mrs Paul, the Spinner.“ C/U of strands of the glass which do indeed look like soft strands of silk. She ties the strands in a knot. C/U of her hands as she separates out the strands. C/Us of Mrs Paul making a tiny bird from the glass. Dissolves are used between various stages.
“On goes the tail - with a little shellac - and we’re through.“ The tail is a large bunch of the silk like glass we have just seen. M/S of a stand displaying lots of the model glass birds.
