Bricks By The Million! (1935)

Titles read: ’BRICKS By the Million!’ Various locations of events. At a brickworks near Peterborough (England) we see men at work in the pits where the clay is scooped up by digging machines (bulldozer type excavators). Young men unload the finished bricks from machines in the factory. The soft bricks are taken to the ovens on trolleys. A man walks about on top of the ovens, stoking the fires below with fine coal through small holes that are sealed with metal covers. A man with an electrical measuring device checks the temperature of the oven below. The fired bricks are removed from the ovens and stacked. In Washington DC, United States of America, we see two tall brick chimneys being demolished to make way for a park. The Capitol Building (?) is seen in the background and an airship flies overhead before the demolition. One tower comes down, then reverse footage shows it going back up again.
