Full Title: Food for Thought: (Three) Ingredients for the Mass Consumer Diet. Format: 16mm & Video / Sound: Stereo / Aspect Ratio: 16:9 ‘Food for Thought’ explores the relationship between food, consumerism, and religion. Daniel Crooks’ short film has been screened at film festivals internationally, as well as having won awards locally. Crooks has worked across a range of media and has been the artist in residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam (2004–05) and the Australia Council Studio, London, UK (2005). Daniel Crooks is an innovative visual artist of international standing represented in Australia by Anna Schwartz gallery. His video ‘Static No. 11 (man running)’ won the Basil Sellers Art Prize in 2008.
