RARE version of Joe Ely’s cover of “16 Tons“ from a DVD (of the VHS) of the Joe Ely Band “Live in Texas, 1986“ - recorded at Gruene Hall. Killer bandmates: David Grissom on guitar, Bobby Keys on sax, Davis McLarty on drums an Jimmy Pettit on bass. I heard about this many years ago but found a copy fairly recently. Really want to share with others who try to keep up with Joe’s great music over the years.
