But I never got to actually meet Riley until she showed up all smiles and cool Gibson guitar and summer-y dress and warmth and soulful voice and and and…to sing in my Big Green Bathroom! Riley has lived coast-to-coast before recently becoming a Minnesotan and I say we totally scored, friends! Riley brought in a John Prine/Bonnie Raitt classic, and told me how she used Bandcamp to make some music friends before she moved here (PS IT’S BANDCAMP FRIDAY! YAY BANDCAMP!). Bonus points - I learned that Riley and I are both Scorpios, with a shared love of saying real hi to people and learning from failing and I think she is pretty darn wonderful.
