Los Angeles police release bodycam footage of shooting that accidentally killed girl

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released body camera footage on Monday of a police-involved shooting that occurred Dec. 23 at a clothing store in North Hollywood that showed officers responding to reports of an assault. The footage shows officers approaching where a suspect is believed to be located. They come across a woman, who police say on the video was bleeding before the footage shows an officer with a firearm rounding a corner of store racks. At least one officer opened fire at a person seen on the body camera, later identified as the suspect. According to police, during the shooting and unseen on camera, a 14-year-old girl was hit in a dressing room by a bullet that went through drywall that was behind the suspect.
