Ukraine police confront protesters rallying against land reform in Kiev

Scuffles broke out in Kiev on Tuesday as Ukrainian police attempted to prevent protesters from setting up a tent camp on a road outside the parliament building. Protesters gathered on the square to rally against land reform, which, if voted in the second reading, will remove a ban on the sale of farmland. Police dismantled the tent, detained and dragged protesters from the site as other demonstrators threw projectiles at the officers, some even hitting back. Ukrainian lawmakers are expected to take a vote on the land reform on Thursday.
